Breaking: Mars and Moon Exploration Outsourced to India
Former HP CEO Carly Forina shares that since jobs are not America's "god given right" and techinically this mission is not on earth, that the jobs are "open to competition".

**** joking **** I couldn't resist with Lou Dobb saying this tonight.

Seriously, shrub announces another intiative which is not happening until he's "gone" in hopes of getting votes in two key states --California and Florida

1. *giggle*
You had me going there for a moment.

Now that I have thought about it for a minute, I wouldn't be surprised if this does happen. Didn't the GOP outsource fund-raising calls (or something like that) to India?

Now why would Halliburton do that?
When they could charge triple anyway?

2. Seriously..
I support a Mars mission, but because of it's outrageous cost, I think it should be an international mission. Though that may not fit into the neocon issue agenda.

5. ESA, Russia, Canada, China, - - and why not? - - India
If humanity is going to go out into the universe and conquer two other whole worlds - shouldn't we be smart enough to do it as a species?

Of course, Bush is too arrogant and narrow-minded to even think of it.

3. outsourcing story
my sister is a customer service rep for qwest and told me that following the 60 minutes story on india/outsourcing, she took a call from a guy who was extremely rude and called her all sorts of things, explaining that he'd seen the 60 minutes piece and just knew he was talking to someone in india. she told him that she was very definitely located in the u.s., to no avail. she ended up hanging up on him.

also, for what it's worth, she said their union has it stipulated that qwest will not outsource their jobs.
