Just discovered this news website...
...and I like it!

http://www.independent-media.tv/index.cfm

Independent Media is designed to be an independent media outlet for views and artistic expression which are currently not being represented by our corporate media. Independent Media has various areas of focus. The Under Reported and Environmental areas are designed to bring to light information, and knowledge that is otherwise not reaching the general public. The Philosophical, and Independent Artist areas are designed to be a forum of expression for artists of Music, Movies, Writing, Art, Philosophy, and Spirituality. This is needed as the corporate media monopoly controls the majority of what we see and hear.

With no influence from business and government, the two strongest corrupting powers of true freedom of speech on our airways, we will remain independent. The website will be created with no need or desire of any advertising of products or services outside the philosophy of the site. Therefore, since money is not the motivating factor, the information will not be subjected to influence of money. That is why we call it Independent Media.

Future plans include moving the focus of the site into the direction of video presentation, hence the .TV. We hope to have news of an independent and professional nature to share the ignored progressive views. Movies and shows from independent film makers, and videos from independent musicians are also part of the plan.

The target audience can be broken up into two groups. Those who are seeking an alternative and independent media source other than the corporate media. The second group will be those seeking to become part of the process of creating an alternative independent media source, as we accept submitted media from those interested in participating.

6. That banner is fun
but I wish they would change the shading or text color in the left column to make it readable. The content is terrific.
