Yea. These photos brought tears to my eyes. And I don't cry easy

A U.S. Army Carlisle Barracks funeral honors team gun formation stands in the center of a road in front of the Trinity Epicscopal Church in Bethlehem, Pa., Tuesday July 8, 2003, as the flag-draped casket of U.S. Army First Sgt. Christopher Coffin is carried into the church for a memorial service. Coffin, 51, an Army reservist, was killed in Iraq (news - web sites) last week under circumstances currently under investigation by the Army. (AP Photo/Jacqueline Larma)

Bobby McCall, left, is helped by Lauderdale County Sheriff's Office chaplain Ed Flaskamp as he walks to his vehicle after being consoled over the death of his wife, Lanette McCall, who was one of several Lockheed-Martin employees shot at the Lockheed-Martin manufacturing plant near Meridian, Miss., Tuesday, July 8, 2003. A factory worker known as a racist who talked about murdering others opened fire with a shotgun and a rifle at a the plant Tuesday, killing four blacks and one other white before fatally shooting himself, authorities said. 1. It's been a sad day
Also with the brave conjoined twins not making it. A lot of unaswered questions about these tragedies.

3. So many photo's so much coverage of the "Invasion" and now very little....
just numbers and incidence reports.

I know what you mean.........I didn't want them there.......

They are truly forgotten now. Except by us (the folks the RW hates). And, in fact the folks that many of those people themselves would hate if we ran into them before they got shipped off over their like cattle to slaughter.

4. sad...
It is estimated that possibly ten thousand civilians may have died in the Iraq Invasion:

"AMERICAN guns, bombs and missiles killed more civilians in the recent war in Iraq than in any conflict since Vietnam, according to preliminary assessments carried out by the UN, international aid agencies and independent study groups.

Despite US boasts this was the fastest, most clinical campaign in military history, a first snapshot of "collateral damage" indicates that between 5000 and 10,000 Iraqi non-combatants died in the course of the hi-tech blitzkrieg..."

5. Sad day - the twins
I started the day at 6am seeing that both Iranian twins had died.

By the end of the day (for unrelated reasons of course) I had submitted my resignation at work.

It's been a very sad day... =(
