Anyone know how to contact David Brock? An O'Neill thread.
Edited on Sun Jan-11-04 03:22 PM by JanMichael
Paul O'Neill needs some backup and advice on how the reichwing media machine will try to wipe him out, because they will. Obviously he already realizes this, but it might help if a real mud thrower wrote a piece on this sort of conflict. Maybe a Washinton Post piece or the NYT?

Who better than Brock to give him the down and dirty 411? Something like this might help take the focus off of their smears and back on his accusations.

Might be nice if Daschle came out with some sort of statement too. Maybe a, "We're certainly interested in this story and will be watching to see how it develops. These are serious accusations. Blah blah blah.", you know, use the mouth that evolution, or god (whatever), gave him and help out a little.

I took a look at the web and didn't see any comments by him yet, perhaps he already has, so if that's the case I apologise. Other than that I won't hold my breath.

So does anyone know how to cantact Brock and urge him on? Any other qualified guerilla news people contacts would be appreciated too.

2. Good idea.
Maybe we should start an email campaign to encourage articles exposing the reichwing dirty media black ops tricks?

3. It has already
started. On Wolfe Blitzer today Don Evans was on (that man's voice makes me cringe) and hem hawed around about O'Neil. Of course he had to play up our glorious leader with the same old rhetoric we have heard a thousand or more times. It also makes me wonder if Blitzer, Woodruff, Kurtz, etc (all of Controlled Negative Network) understands that Bush is using them for toilet paper. Pure propaganda. They pointed out all day the negatives of the Dems but never have anything negative to report about Shrub. I mistakenly thought choosing a president was a two-way street--Repubs and Dems.

4. That's why I thought that an outrageous article on their tactics...
...would help. Better yet an avalanche. Something that the CNNFOXMSNBCABCCBSNBC automatrons can't possibly ignore.

Call them what they are, liars and thieves.

6. Brock would be the
one to do it. He has been there and seen it firsthand. I really feel we must go to stronger tactics than before. Sometimes I feel we are all alone out there trying to tell the truth to the sheeple. Maybe he can be contacted through his editor.

7. I'll try e-mailing his editor.
Who knows, maybe he's already working on it.

5. I found this statement by O'Neill
in the Time Magazine piece to be very revealing.

Loyalty is perhaps the most prized quality in the White House. In the book, O'Neill suggests a very dark understanding of what happens to those who don't show it. "These people are nasty and they have a long memory," he tells Suskind. But he also believes that by speaking out even in the face of inevitable White House wrath, he can demonstrate loyalty to something he prizes: the truth. "Loyalty to a person and whatever they say or do, that's the opposite of real loyalty, which is loyalty based on inquiry, and telling someone what you really think and feel—your best estimation of the truth instead of what they want to hear." That goal is worth the price of retribution, O'Neill says. Plus, as he told Suskind, "I'm an old guy, and I'm rich. And there's nothing they can do to hurt me."

Stay out of small planes Paul. Come to think of it, the rest of us should stay out of any plane that O'Neill is on.
