Former Treasury Secretary Paul O'Neill Blasts Bush

Former Treasury Secretary Paul O'Neill, pushed out of the administration for not being a team player, says President Bush (news - web sites) was so disengaged during Cabinet meetings that he was like a "blind man in a roomful of deaf people."

To promote the book which will be out Tuesday, O'Neill was appearing Sunday on CBS's "60 Minutes" in an interview with correspondent Lesley Stahl.

1. I hope O'Neill gets interviews everywhere
but he may get blackballed.

Be interesting to see if the WH intimidates the media. I would guess that he'll get a few interviews & then will disappear from the face of the earth.

2. Any bets on whether this conservative gets the bulk buy cross on his
book? I suspect this is one conservative book that doesn't get read by many. They do not want to know the truth. I take that back they know the truth they just don't want it rubbed in their face. We all know Bush* is incompetent and the word is coming from official sources to back up that belief. Freepers will put out some sort of hit action to be taken on O'Neil because they are just plain evil people.

4. Down right scary
The part that blows me away is O'Neill saying Bush just sits in cabinet meetings and says nothing. He says everyone has to guess as to what he's thinking. That's just weird. Even Reagan engaged in spirited dialogue in most staff meetings. Bush just must be too stupid to have an opinion on most things....he just doesn't understand any of it!!

5. "Guess what he is thinking"
As one person put it, it is a leap of faith to assume that he is "thinking" at all. :)
