I just had to post this from local gal, Cindy Rodriguez of The Denver Post. I guess it took a Hispanic to tell the truth about Miguel Estrada. All that BS about his struggle. She takes on Jr. too.

Bush's 'good Hispanic' has telling record
It took two years of stalling and blocking, but in the end, the Senate filibuster worked.

Miguel Estrada, the inexperienced conservative lawyer who has demonstrated zero commitment to helping Latinos, asked the president Thursday to withdraw his nomination to federal appellate court.

He cried tio (uncle), knowing that George Bush eventually will find another appointment for him. After all, he's a "good Hispanic," someone who won't argue on behalf of civil rights or affirmative action.

as a Latina, what the auther wrote is right on. the repukes really do believe that by trotting out a person of color, that the group they are suppose to represent, i.e. the Hispanic voting bloc, that we will all think how wonderful of the GOP to give one of our own a place at the table. They are truly ignorant, racist and stupid. May they continue to be so.
