Boston Globe....Don't call * stupid, he might be mentally ill.....
http://www.boston.com/news/globe/living/articles/2004/09/14/a_medical_cause_for_bushisms/

It is an article of faith with millions of Americans, most of them on the left, that George W. Bush is stupid. Many reasonable people think his policies are ill-advised, but millions more insist Bush must be a moron because he sounds stupid.

snip

But something doesn't compute. Fred Smith, the founder of Federal Express and a Yale pal of both Bush and John Kerry, says Bush is five times smarter than people think he is. Cynics deride what passes for scholarship at the Harvard Business School, but the course work for the two-year MBA isn't easy. A grading curve forces a small number of students to fail, and Bush didn't fail.

So why does Bush sound stupid? One doctor thinks he shows signs of "presenile dementia," or an early onset of Alzheimer's disease.

I feel so much better....this guy doesn't think * is stupid, just an alzheimer patient? Is this supposed to make * look better to us?
:wtf:

6. Mark Crispin Miller..
"Some Fine Bush Phrases from The Dyslexicon"

"George W. Bush is renowned for saying things like "It's not the way American is all about." His gaffes include "Desert Storm. We sold a lot of tickets" and "If this were a dictatorship, it'd be a heck of a lot easier, just so long as I'm dictator." So if Bush has a way with words it's for twit-like wit and malapropian fluency. Last year he told the Los Angeles Times, "One of the common denominators I have found is that expectations rise above that which is expected." And on the campaign trail he shared with the New York Times: "I don't care what the polls say. I don't. I'm doing what I think what's wrong."

5. So, maybe bush wasn't always
"stupid".

But, all the cocaine, booze, and whatever else(read prescription drugs) he's guzzled during his life has rendered him sounding like he's missing a few too many brain cells.

An enchilada, taco, And tostada.. short of a Combo Plate!

7. This is really mean of me,
and I'm bipolar so I should have some sympathy if this is true.

BUT, * has what I have ALWAYS referred to as "dumb eyes." He can't help the shape and spacing of them, but there is no light coming from behind them at all, ever. No spark. Nada. No there there.

As Letterman once said years ago about someone else, "you look in his eyes and get the feeling someone else is driving. . ."

9. It's not the same thing as saying he diabetic or has high blood
pressure or something to that effect.....anyone with a mind altering disease should NOT be allowed the highest office! That was an act of treason when the Repugs let Reagan run again knowing his condition.

and Bush didn't fail. Gimme a fuggin' break. There are professional athletes scattered throughout the various leagues that were given passing grades despite the fact that they never show up to class.

If Bush's business acumen is an indication of what represents an Harvard MBA, than it isn't worth a shit.
