Estrich disses Arianna Huffington
Susan Estrich seems to think Arianna is neglecting her kids.

Bad fathers have been running for office for decades. Does it matter if a mother runs instead?

Huffington has no chance of winning. Never did. The only reason to run was her ego, self-aggrandizement, attention -- at the expense of her kids.

She is running on a platform she didn't even believe in a few years ago. Nor is it one she lives by.

1. Estrich was the head of the brain trust that ran the Dukakis campaign

On edit: It's incredibly nasty to attack someone through their family. This attack seems to be the knife of choice for women.

2. That's right -- and she's a hack
The last I heard from her, she was bad mouthing the Democratic Party's base.

Estrich ran the worst campaign in history. The column is nothing but garbage.

4. Estrich and Caddell ran Riordan's campaign into the ground.
These two geniuses turned Riordan's 40 point lead into an 8 point loss against Simon in the 2002 GOP Primary.

Both of them are now in the GOP camp. I was hoping they would get involved with Arnold and drive his campaign into the ground, too!, but one can only hope...

6. my letter to Estrich
Dear Ms. Estrich,

"Arianna Huffington has been recalled as a mother."

That's the lowest thing I've ever read in political journalism, and these days, that's saying a lot. Why did you find it necessary to attack her through her children? I don't live in California and I don't know Arianna Huffington, but I can't imagine she deserves this disgusting, personal, and utterly irrelevant attack.

The bad-mom knife is one of the first that women draw on one another. It's an ugly thing to see, as nasty as a screeching, handbag-swinging, hair-pulling catfight over a boy. I hope you soon regain your composure and join the ranks of the mature.
