Hilarious! psychotic B. Malone: NYC errs in playing nice with protesters
Edited on Fri Aug-27-04 04:51 AM by 0rganism
(note: If you haven't heard Mike Malloy's oral interpretation of this screed, hie thee hence to the White Rose Society archive and give Thursday's show a listen, starting at about 2:07:45)

Grag Palast points out that the RNC reprinted this paranoid bullshit on its official website. The underlines and hilarity are, admittedly, mine. I do believe this woman might be serious.

NYC errs in playing nice with protesters

By BERNADETTE MALONE

NEXT WEEK, people who hate Republicans plan to release swarms of mice in New York City to terrorize delegates to the National Republican Convention.

Republican-haters plan on dressing up as RNC volunteers, and giving false directions to little blue hair ladies from Kansas, sending them into the sectors of New York City that are unfit for human habitation.

They plan on throwing pies and Lord knows what else at Republican visitors to the city. Prostitutes with AIDS plan to seduce Republican visitors, and discourage the use of condoms, according to liberal journalist Ted Rall. (HAHAHAHAHAHA)

New York City is a place renowned for coddling no one — tourists, babies, old people. And yet, its new mayor, a Boston transplant, plans to coddle these junior terrorists....

1. Malone: Releasing mice is terrorism
Edited on Fri Aug-27-04 05:22 AM by Bernardo de La Paz
First of all, it is rather ridiculous, but could be a good prank. Hardly terrorism, unless Malone is the type who gets on a chair and screams if someone says "Mickey". I suppose mice would not trip a metal detector.

All in all, pretty hard on the mice.

2. Sectors of New York unfit for human habitation. . .
LOL . . . yeah, god forbid they should see that, they might not want to be republicans any more if they actually have to see the poverty their policies create.

I think he needs to explain how releasing mice in a city already teaming with rats, mice, roaches and other such creatures (like 50,000 Republicans for instance) is a problem. Seems like it'd just add to the food chain for the stray cats :).

3. Family values
the part I found funniest was the line about the prostitutes. I thought all Repukes were moralists, and wouldn't even think of illicit sex. </sarcasm>

4. High-level psychological warfare against the Republicans
I don't know if it's being done on purpose or if it's all jokes and wishful thinking. If the psyops is deliberate, I'm not sure whether that's ethically acceptable or is too close to Republican dirty tricks for comfort. But the upshot is that even if not one of these wild ideas ever gets acted on, all those blue-haired ladies from Kansas are still going to feel they're going into enemy territory the moment they set foot on the city streets.

They are going to be jumping at the sight of a pie, poking through their lunches for signs a waiter may have spit onto them, and getting themselves lost in back alleys for fear of asking directions. Or they are going to be screaming in fear of terrorists if a single ant wanders across the convention floor.

And now the Republicans themselves are spreading the disinfo -- that's the funniest part of all.

5. I didn't believe it till I read it: Who is this shitbag?
Protestors are complaining already that the FBI is visiting them and sowing intimidation. Who cares? As long as they’re not planning to break the law, protestors should have no reason to fear inquiries from law enforcement officials.
