WASHINGTON -- Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, the Democrat the opposition loves to hate, will be giving Republicans plenty of reasons to rant when the GOP descends upon her adopted home state of New York.
The first lady-turned-senator is one of her party's strongest voices on a dominant campaign issue -- President Bush's handling of the war against terrorism after the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.
Clinton, often talked about as a possible presidential candidate in 2008, will use all opportunities during the Republican National Convention next week to portray the president as a leader who has fallen short on homeland security and domestic programs.
