Poll: Congress Hits 25-Year Low
Congress now has its lowest favorable rating in more than 25 years, according to a new poll out Wednesday.

Just 23 percent have a favorable view of Congress, while a whopping 69 percent have an unfavorable view, a Washington Post-ABC News poll found. This favorability number is the lowest number yet compared to Pew Research Center polls that have been conducted since 1985, according to the Post.

Republicans proved to have the least positive view of Congress – just 20 percent of GOPers said they have a favorable view, while 75 percent said they have an unfavorable one. Meanwhile, Democrats were slightly more forgiving of the institution, with 26 percent expressing a favorable outlook towards Congress and 68 percent showing an unfavorable view.

People were generally less critical of individual members of the House of Representatives than they were of Congress – 41 percent said they have a favorable view of their own member of Congress, while another 41 percent had an unfavorable view of their House representative.

1. To be expected with a far rightwing-connected corporation 'counting' 80% of the votes
in the U.S. with 'TRADE SECRET' programming code and virtually no audit/recount controls.

The far rightwing-connected corporation--ES&S, which bought out Diebold--would likely (s)elect a Congress of scumbags who DON'T represent the American people.

It's such a no-brainer.

2. If after 2010, the US doesn't wise up and boot the GOP, it's never going to get any better.

3. The main reason for this disapproval of congress
is their near constant threatening of social security and medicare.

I would suggest to those politicians that they forget this at their own peril.

4. isn't this the first time ever
that people rate their own critter under 50%? 41% approval in that context is an incredibly low number!
