A US State Embassy cable marked “confidential” and published by WikiLeaks reveals details on the detention of juveniles held in “Site 4″ in a Iraq Interior Ministry (MOI) detention complex. The juveniles allege sexual abuse by Iraqi interrogators, specifically that rapes were being used in the prison to induce confessions. The discovery of widespread abuse and torture, according to the diplomat who wrote the cable, is the worst since the infamous Jadriyah “Bunker” facility was discovered in 2005.

On May 30, 2006, a “joint US-Iraqi inspection” of the detention facility took place. The facility, located in central Baghdad, was found to have 1,400 detainees. They were in “two separate facilities” and “held in squalid, cramped conditions not uncommon in MOI (Ministry of Interior) Commando detention facilities.” Inspectors interviewed forty-one detainees, who had “bruising and lash-marks consistent with violent physical abuse.” And, thirty-seven juveniles, who had been “illegally detained,” were found in the facility, “many alleging sexual abuse.”

The cable sent out on June 10, 2006, reports:

A number of juvenile detainees, mostly young teenagers, alleged sexual abuse at the hands of MOI personnel — specifically, that MOI interrogators had used threats and acts of anal rape to induce confessions and had forced juveniles to fellate them during interrogations. These allegations were also raised independently with inspectors by adult detainees who claimed knowledge of juvenile rapes.

1. You can't have it both ways.
Obama goes around saying America doesn't torture. Yet Dick and W go around saying they did torture, would torture again and just loved it.

So in affect we, Americans, approve of torture because the law against torture was NOT upheld. America tortured, continues to torture and will continue to torture. Just saying we don't torture is not enough. Holder and Obama have to uphold the LAW. Remember laws? I think our government has forgotten how laws are actually supposed to work.

But aside from that. How dare we get upset because other countries torture too? Haven't we shown by our failure to uphold our own laws against torture that we just love to torture people and we have NO Right to Complain about it when other countries do too.

2. In the Military we call it "Lead By Example" CMDR AWOL called it "Do as I say not as I do"
Of course Shrub was just playing Army in the TX ANG not actually doing real training and flying. His major actions were at the Club downing Shots and chasing tail and of course getting high on Cocaine!

3. when it comes to rape, torture, murder, and financial crimes on a global scale...
Obama wants to look forward not backward. I'm sure there's a lot of guys in prison who wish they had used that defense.

6. If I didn't know better I'd say we only enforce laws against the poor and middle class, rich exempt
That's the only explanation that makes any logical sense to me.

The cream doesn't rise to the top in our society, only pond scum and toxic volatiles.
