After weeks of shouting talking points back and forth, it seems the United States Congress has finally come to a deal that will raise the debt ceiling. The deal reportedly has cuts across the board without, as Congresswoman Pelosi put it, one red cent from the wealthy - no revenues. Of course the Tea Party didn't support it, but if this doesn't give them a ragin' fiscal hard on, I fear to see what cuts would. As for liberal Democrats, I can only imagine they went home after the vote to smoke their hippy-dippy doobies and listen to rock music, while playing with a pet turtle - the only thing that truly understands them. Anyone who identifies with far left or far right got a loss last night. Only the people in the middle who simply didn't want to see shit hit the fan under their watch got a "win" in any sense of the word. But the real story was Congresswoman Gabby Giffords' triumphant and awe inspiring return to the House floor to cast a vote in favor or raising the debt ceiling. The moment brought tears to the eyes of any person with a soul. My only regret was that she didn't pimp slap the whole of Congress.
