As discusson ensues on how much hate speech has affected people here is a 2010 report on threats
Democrats received before the Health CAre reform vote. 10 House Democrats in all recieved threats. (well, as of Mar 25, 2010)

A caller to Rep. Emanuel Cleaver's office warned that if the congressman voted for the health care bill he would get "a bullet to the head."

A different man called fellow Democratic Rep. Dennis Moore four days before Sunday's vote and warned that if Moore voted "yes," the caller would drive to Moore's house, park outside and cause unspecified problems.

"Maybe the guy was just being rude," Moore said. "You just never know."

The threats to the two Kansas City-area congressmen were among the more than 10 reported to House leaders in connection with Sunday's health care vote.
