Roger Ebert: Starting Over
He's been called America's movie critic. For more than four decades, Roger Ebert has guided our choices at the box office.

His syndicated newspaper column and trademark "thumbs up/thumbs down" routine with TV partner Gene Siskel were legendary.

But now that famous voice has been silenced.

"Do you remember what your last spoken words were?" asked Bowers.

"No, because I didn't know they would be my last words, or I would have written something great," Ebert replied.

1. Inspirational
He may have lost his ability to speak but he never lost his "voice." Hope he's around for a long long time.

2. What an extraordinary man.
My husband and I have been watching his shows faithfully all these years...

We treasure his criticisms even when we don't agree...

He may be voiceless, but only death will silence him.

Recommended.

3. Very good and cuts close to home.
I do much better in my dreams as well.

In them I am walking so fast my friends complain, taking stairs two or three steps at time, climbing mountains, hanging off the side of man-made heights and feeling the wind, running across fields and working the earth.

All denied now. We must put our energies to work any way we can.

I'm glad he has his family and friends to support him in this time in his life.

Good luck to him. He seems to be good-hearted human who communicated his spirit to so many people over the years.
