NYT: The Plain Truth
The Plain Truth

http://www.nytimes.com/2004/06/17/opinion/17THU1.html

It's hard to imagine how the commission investigating the 2001 terrorist attacks could have put it more clearly yesterday: there was never any evidence of a link between Iraq and Al Qaeda, between Saddam Hussein and Sept. 11.

Now President Bush should apologize to the American people, who were led to believe something different.

2. He should resign. He won't, so we must impeach.
He took the country to war under false pretenses. There is no excuse for this. The entire administration must go. Now. No need to wait for the election. Give the GOP an opportunity to put up a candidate worth, uh, something more than this joking liar from hell.

3. The NYT should apologize
for continuing to employ and defend Judith Miller.

I'm not holding my breath.

4. I can't believe the crap this administration has gotten away with.
Now, watch Cheney repeat the lie over and over again, ANYWAY! Why doesn't someone in the press corps have the balls to just come out and call him a liar?

5. No, there is a third alternative.
"There are two unpleasant alternatives: either Mr. Bush knew he was not telling the truth, or he has a capacity for politically motivated self-deception that is terrifying in the post-9/11 world."

The third alternative is that neither Bush nor Cheney is mentally fit to serve office.
