GOP Crank Up The Hate Against Omama, America is 'no longer Christian' Religious Propaganda lying in the name of God is the true meaning of using, Gods Name in Vain.

( R )Louis Gohmert gave another speech today 11/18/2010 on the house floor about God and are Presidents, saying in the past presidents and are country have been Christen.

But first he misquoted What are Commander and Chief, President Obama said, skipping one word! America is 'no longer Christian' When the President really Said; America is 'no longer JUST Christian.

Here it is again Misquoted when it first came out; Skipping the word JUST, President Barack Obama stated at a press conference in Turkey last week that we Americans “do not consider ourselves a (Skipped Just) a Christian nation, or a Muslim nation, but rather, a nation of citizens who are, uh, bound by a set of values.”

They are using Religious Propaganda to get votes from the Christens, again using the christen right to pervert what the president said, disgusting hypocrites abound.

Their Creator ... Not your Creator or my Creator or even our Creator; but each individual's Creator, be that creator go by the name God, Jehova or The Great Spirit. And further, the/a creator does not equate to Jesus (even if you add the Christ part). If memory serves me, Jesus didn't become his father, e.g., God, until sometime after the crusades.

"Creator" appears in many forms in many religions and belief systems. Saying "God" omits those religions and belief systems that you identified.

My friend and I were discussing this a week or so ago. We talked about the "founding fathers" as being Deists, not specifically "Christian."

None of the Founding Fathers were atheists. Most of the Founders were Deists, which is to say they thought the universe had a creator, but that he does not concern himself with the daily lives of humans, and does not directly communicate with humans, either by revelation or by sacred books. They spoke often of God, (Nature's God or the God of Nature), but this was not the God of the bible. They did not deny that there was a person called Jesus, and praised him for his benevolent teachings, but they flatly denied his divinity. Some people speculate that if Charles Darwin had lived a century earlier, the Founding Fathers would have had a basis for accepting naturalistic origins of life, and they would have been atheists. Most of them were stoutly opposed to the bible, and the teachings of Christianity in particular.

We never have been a "Christian Nation," nor should we ever be. Forced beliefs only make two things: hypocrites and martyrs.

If you call them g.o.p. don't be surprised when they win elections. Rethugs eat that term, and praise, up. I've seen it proudly used on Faux, and from 'thug operatives. Bottom line if you see it on liberal blogs, or anywhere frankly, something smells fishy. A true liberal wants independence from the authoritarian 'thugs, not cooperation or worse submission.
