1. And I post a music video, or make a comment.

Then some news article or person says the same thing.

Correlation without causation is a dangerous way to think on things.

Instead of saying, they took the Bible out of schools, she should say, private sector began showing movies for profit first, and sex sells.

See how it is a perspective.

Although she has been misquoted on her answer to 'would you hide a jew from a nazi' She said she would not have to lie, not that she would turn them over to the nazi.

It is the best answer to that question.

2. The arguement mentioned for no women in military
Edited on Fri Sep-17-10 03:41 AM by RandomThoughts
is the same argument for women wearing burkas. Took a few years to understand that argument.

It is true that women around men add a different dynamic, but women should not be denied opportunity for that reason. Most men are mature enough to be professional in a mixed gender combat situation.

Although it is true that protecting women would be a higher priority for most men, protecting fellow soldiers is already a high priority in service.

Although I understand that argument.

3. This MIGHT make him anti-England:
>>>'He's soooo liberal. He's anti-American. He's beating the 'change' drum. But let's look at the change. He did not vote for English as the official language. What does that say?''>>>

But not anti-American.... seems to me.

Oh, Christine... 'that we could cut these ties that bind."

6. That oil quote isn't exactly crazy
63% seems high, but definitely more gets into the ocean through seepage than because of drilling.

7. But there's no rebuttal to her "facts"
It's all very well to sneer "She believes x, that's crazy", but if you don't know that x isn't true, it may sound plausible (the oil seepage one, for example).

8. Witchcraft? WTF?
"I dabbled into witchcraft -- I never joined a coven. But I did, I did... I dabbled into witchcraft. I hung around people who were doing these things. I'm not making this stuff up. I know what they told me they do... One of my first dates with a witch was on a satanic altar, and I didn't know it. I mean, there's little blood there and stuff like that. We went to a movie and then had a midnight picnic on a satanic altar." —Christine O'Donnell, in a 1999 appearance on Bill Maher's 'Politically Incorrect'
