Unemployment benefits might end for long-term unemployed
I have been unemployed for 2 years now. I have been grateful for the help of those benefits. It has allowed me to keep the power on, water, garbage p/u, cable( mostly for the computer to help look for a job ), phone(again for seeking a job ),maybe help for food,if there is anything left. Without a job and now no extended unemployment, its very BLEEK for us at home,( wife,2-kids,grandson & father. If i could get a job, i would be happy to not recieve unemployment.

This sucks. Why should we be punished for over spending by the banks, auto industry, and the government. We did not cause the recession but we are paying extremely high prices for it.We have lost our jobs, our homes and everything we have worked so hard to acheive, while the banks. auto industry are being rewarded with big bounces and expensive vacations. Meantime my family has nothing including a roof over their head and food in their bellies. How fair is that? Maybe congress should try wearing our shoes for awhile and see how they like it.

This is truely horrible!!!!! This kind of act will cause more people to be tempted to break in to people’s houses, rob and kill all to get money because they are unable to find work. All I can say is what goes around comes around. One day these people who voted this down may find themselves in this horrible postion or one of there family members. I wonder what they will be thinking about then.

Nice touch waste tax payers money world wide. Give other countries our jobs. Use our money to prop up failing countries and governments, line your pockets and those of your friends. Make no mistake REPUBLICANS I’m talking to you. My life long view has changed once in forty years working I needed help and you were not there. NEVER WILL I VOTE REPUBLICAN AGAIN !

This is a letter wrote by a woman losing her benefits. The Republicans have totally screwed up on this. There's an explosion of hatred for them.

3. And they think their walled in communities are going to keep them safe

I don't advocate violence, but one would have to be mentally deficient not to see the writing on the wall. We're going through the same thing here. Lost the house last November, I decided not to wait till it was convenient for the bank to put us out and mailed them the key in January. I'm very thankful for family though, without their help, we'd be homeless.
