Palin in Denver: 'America... we got snookered'
DENVER - Sarah Palin came to Denver and told a big crowd Saturday night, "America... we got snookered."

About 6,000 fans of Sarah Palin packed into the University of Denver's Magness Arena to hear from the former Alaska Governor and would-be Vice-President, as she brought her "Take Back America" road show to Denver.

Outside the arena, protesters with signs chanted, "We support our President." One person passing by the protesters before going inside to hear Palin speak asked, "I want to know what you support?"

Palin said she was glad to be back in the Mile High city, first talking about jogging up 17th Street, saying she wasn't sure if that took her breath away or it was just that Denver is so breathtaking.

Then she began to bash the President and his policies.

'Obamacare': "America we got snookered, they rammed it down our throats and made us take something that isn't going to be very good for us." . .

I'm trying to think if there has ever been a bigger political huckster in my lifetime. Spiro Agnew, maybe? Newt? She's in the top five, anyway.

Hey, Sarah: It was Alaska that got "snookered" by its half-term (now multimillionaire) governor.

1. So the democratic process equals "rammed it down our throats"?
I guess if you're the loser it does.

8. Yes, just like tough questioning of a candidate....
for public office constitues being "prejudiced".

The tea-bag Right are a bunch of whiny babies who want a true Nanny-state: one that takes care of them without ever requiring them to do anything, pay for anything, or be challenged by anything. That is what they mean by Freedom.

It's the rise of the lazy, dysfunctional, vindictive brats.

16. I have a theory.
When our kids were young, they were all in swimming and other sports competitions where EVERYONE gets a ribbon, regardless if they finished first, or if they held up the meet by an extra 10 minutes because they're so damned slow.

These kids grow up expecting to get rewarded regardless of how well they performed in their jobs or other endeavors in their adult lives. If they don't, they have an adult version of a temper tantrum until someone accommodates them.

That's what people who supported the McCain/Palin ticket remind me of. They lost. But, they're now throwing a temper tantrum, thinking someone will change the outcome and make things all right. It's worked in everything else in their lives so far, so why not continue that behavior for this?

20. Bozos paid $37–$85 so Gidget could collect her $35000 or whatever
It's fine with me if they waste their time and money on her: it's time and money they won't spend building the Fascist state they all seem to want, and it'll only go to support her high-end lifestyle

3. Any American who does not like the way the president is leading this nation is free to leave
And if she doesn't like America she can go move to Russia.

4. The people who are not happy with the President's performance
didn't say that they didn't like America. Why would anyone leave the Country they loved because a particular leader was not living up to their hopes and expectations?

6. What part of representative democracy do these idiots not understand?
They had their chance to ram their shit down our throats, 2000-2006, and they did just that. Now it is our turn. They get to try again to ram their shit in 2010, and I sincerely hope they completely fail.

But then again, the DLC makes no bones about it's SOP of 'run left, govern right'.

17. In Palin's little mind, she thinks the Founding Fathers were a bunch of Christian fanatics.
There have been several posts on this website that prove that was not the case. They were largely deists. We're talking some of the heavyweights of the Founding Fathers, like Jefferson, Madison, Washington and Franklin.
