Foot in Mouth: The Rape of Truth, Justice, and LibertyMichael R Harris
"One thing is for certain: There won't be any more mass graves and torture rooms and rape rooms." George Bush, Monterrey, Mexico, Jan. 12, 2004. Whoa, back the fuck up there Sparky; when you said that, did you lean over to Kindasleezy Rice and whisper, “there won’t be any less either, hehehehehe”? What a great time it is for a blossoming political writer, sitting back and watching the endless ‘foot in mouth’ commentary spewing forth from Washington on a daily basis. Unlike any other time in our history," this administration has mangled the concept of truth, justice, and liberty for all in every conceivable way. By using one example, the most recent atrocity, the prison torture scandal, we can see the incredible buffoonery emanating from the White House.
"The Iraqi people are now free. And they do not have to worry about the secret police coming after them in the middle of the night, and they don't have to worry about their husbands and brothers being taken off and shot, or their wives being taken to rape rooms. Those days are over." Paul Bremer, Administrator, Coalition Provisional Authority, Sept. 2, 2003. Well-said Mr. Bremer, you're right, the secret police no longer come after them; only Coalition Forces come in the middle of the night and drag civilians off to prison. On a side note Mr. Bremer, how many men and women have we lost in the war?
Secre…I mean Coalition Forces Showing the Finer Points of Democracy to an Iraqi Civilian
"There are no more rape rooms and torture chambers in Iraq." National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice, CBS Early Show, March 19, 2004. Well slap my ass and call me Edna... Ms. Rice what is this? New Special Ops Meditation Training? Maybe this person just had a crick in his back and this soldier was kind enough to help him out with it.

"There are those who seek to derail the transition to democracy because they want to return to the days of mass graves and torture chambers and rape rooms. But that's not going to happen." Scott McClellan, White House press briefing, April 30, 2004. Mr. McClellan, with all due respect, are these the two whom you say are trying to derail the transition to democracy because they want to bring back torture chambers?
Lovely couple aren’t they? Here’s how they met:

"Every woman in Iraq is better off because the rape rooms and torture chambers of Saddam Hussein are forever closed."/i] George Bush, remarks on "Efforts to Globally Promote Women's Human Rights," March 12, 2004. What do we call this, Pseudo-President Bush? Weekend at Club Med?
No words, I can’t bring myself to find humor here.
“Because we acted, torture rooms are closed, rape rooms no longer exist, mass graves are no longer a possibility in Iraq." George Bush, remarks at "Ask President Bush" event, Michigan, May 3, 2004. I’m going to go out on a limb here George, may I call you George? Is this the annual Nudes-a-Popping Iraq Special?

"Saddam Hussein now sits in a prison cell, and Iraqi men and women are no longer carried to torture chambers and rape rooms …" George Bush, remarks on "Winston Churchill and the War on Terror," Feb. 4, 2004. To paraphrase someone famous Mr. Bush, no its not you, “The only thing we have to fear is fear itself," and someone making us wear our underwear over our head while invading troops take pictures and laugh at us.
What could his crime possibly have been to warrant this?
Secretary of State Colin Powell said recently that he and other top officials kept President Bush "fully informed ... in general terms" about complaints made by the Red Cross and others over ill-treatment of detainees in U.S. custody. Of course Bush knew. The question is what needs to be done about it? Is this what we as Americans want the world to see? Is this our defining moment of the 21st century?
This is NOT America, this is ONE administration that has mangled the concept of truth, justice, liberty, and freedom for a nation. An administration that has lied to its people, brought shame upon a nation, and created a global climate of fear. We can no longer have allies, brothers and sisters in arms, with other nations with this shame put upon us by the George Bush Coalition of Thugs and Criminals. Under this coalition is the new face of America, the 21st century George Bush America.
Will this be how dissent in America will also be handled?
