as well as the rest of the radical right. I have no doubt that he is positioning himself to run for the WH.
A review of his book, "Saving Freedom" and a list of those endorsing it:
"Saving Freedom highlights the key principles of personal freedom and how they are being eroded in Washington. Author, Senator Jim DeMint, gives a firsthand account of the unsettling socialist shift in America and offers readers a unique behind-the-scenes look into Congress and the decisions endangering the future of our nation.
Saving Freedom reviews and details the historical failures of socialism around the world and shows how socialistic policies have incrementally worked their way into all areas of American life creating an unhealthy and unmanageable dependency on big government for many Americans. According to a recent report, nearly 20 percent of all Americans depend on employment income from the government. Welfare, Medicaid, and programs for the poor are pushing the direct dole to more than 50 percent.
Most importantly, Saving Freedom gives readers a plan of action to reclaim America's freedom.
Saving Freedom has been praised by such noteworthy, and recognized names as Lt. Col. Oliver L. North, USMC (Ret.); Sean Hannity, host of the Sean Hannity Radio Show and Hannity's America on FOX News Channel; Newt Gingrich, Former Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives; Edwin J. Feulner, Ph.D., president, The Heritage Foundation; Steve Forbes, president, CEO and editor-in-chief of Forbes magazine; William J. Bennett, Washington Fellow, The Claremont Institute and host of Bennett Mornings Radio Show; nationally syndicated columnist George Will and more."

About the Author: Jim DeMint was elected senator of South Carolina in 2004 and then chairman of the Senate Steering Committee in 2006. For standing up against wasteful spending in Congress and saving Americans about $17 billion, Wall Street Journal editor Steve Moore called DeMint the "taxpayer's greatest ally." In 2008 Senator DeMint was the only member of the Senate to receive a 100 percent score on the American Conservative Union's "Defenders of Liberty" rating. DeMint was recently ranked as the Senate's most conservative member by the National Journal and as the number one senator voting for responsible tax and spending policies by the National Taxpayers Union.

I think he's the "stealth candidate" who will come out of nowhere and catch us with our "pants on the ground".
