The teabaggers around Albany, NY, are resolutely anti-Obama and anti-Democrats on every issue, and look to get that "No" message out in every media available.
They use Facebook and other Internet communications, call talk radio, scheme to get their little rallies covered by local TV and newspapers, and lately have organized to comment-bomb The Green Blog at the Albany Times Union.
Here's an example of the quality of their "arguments" there:
While the man-made glo-bull warming crowd debates the existence of the hoax in Copenhagen, God gave them a little surprise by dumping a load of white glistening snow on their party! God has a great sense of humor doesn’t he?
Obviously, quantity is more important rather than quality to teabaggers. Because their goal, evident in their oft-expressed delusion that there were a million-plus at Glenn Beck's 9/12 rally in Washington, is to get the media to believe that they represent the majority who want to "take back" their country from the socialist/Marxist/evil Democrats.

It generally did not get many comments, until lately, when the teabaggers decided to descend on it with global-warming-denial talking points regurgitated from the right-wing noise machine.
Here's some of what they said on The Green Blog:
Reducing carbon emissions is an immoral issue and it’s economically imperative that we don’t go down that path. Cap and Trade legislation takes away our liberty by giving government more control over our lives and imposes a huge tax burden upon hard working Americans. Everyone knows that amounts to nothing more than "redistribution of wealth," a form of plunder a.k.a. "socialism."
It appears that many of the old Reds are the new Greens. Either intentionally working toward a totalitarian world government and the subversion of US national sovereignty or just well-meaning dupes and pawns of a larger conspiracy. To paraphrase your communist progenitor Bella Dodd, the green conspiracy is part of a much larger conspiracy, and it doesn’t take orders from East Anglia University, but rather New York City.
These scare tactic numbers that you greenies continually throw around are becoming tiresome. We hit 390ppm/CO2 in 1989 and just experienced 11 years of global cooling. But why let facts get in the way. Your answer to the problem is deindustrialization, less consumption and energy rationing. With this strategy, will there be any jobs left for Americans 20 years from now? But, that’s also no concern of yours, is it? We can just depend on the government when there are no jobs. We’ll all be happier that way. Please give some thought to what’s really behind the "climate change" hoax and follow the money. By the way, what’s really in it for you to keep propagating lies?
Now their you go again, why pick on old Algore? After all, he invented the internet and the carbon credit didn’t he?. His heart must be in the right place because he speaks the "green language". If he doesn’t do himself, what he preaches to everyone else to do will that really make him a bad person? Making obscene profits from the Green Movement can’t possibly be his motive either. Besides that, the only thing non-green big business ever produced in America was jobs and prosperity. Who needs that now because we have POTUS’s Change to save us.
Soon the entire Democratic Party will have to take compulsory SCUBA lessons! Now, that one will work too!

The teabaggers' campaign occasioned a post by Nehring entitled "Keep a civil tone":
A recent comment submitted to the blog claimed that the views of those who deny the reality of man-made climate change were being suppressed. Now anyone can see that such comments have been posted in increasing numbers recently, apparently by some people who are new to the blog and may not understand its standards.

I will not allow someone to toss around the word "terrorist" to describe someone that they disagree with. That was a comment that was deleted _ so you or no one else saw it, or ever will on this blog. If anyone wants to make such ad hominem attacks, they can take it to another blog where the moderator has looser standards. I am not letting this degenerate into a bathroom wall.

There are multiple comments on the blog that reflect a partisan political, anti-science point of view on climate change, so I find any argument that anyone including those of the Albany Tea Party club is being "suppressed" to be without merit.
Nearing has also commented under his posts, refuting the teabaggers' regurgitations with well-sourced scientific facts.
Not that that will stop them, when they sense that their "hammering" The Green Blog smells like victory:
With the Public Option nonsense going down in flames, focus will be redirected towards addressing the now exposed and debunked climate data. I’m sure what we’ve seen is the tip of the iceberg. And I daresay this particular iceberg won’t be a so-called "shrinking ice mass".
For whatever reason, local environmental activists have not been commenting on The Green Blog, either before or during the teabagger campaign.
Which, again, deludes this handful of teabaggers into thinking that they represent a silent majority that hates everything Obama and Democratic like they do.
