4. So it's O.K for GOP Hitler Hate Radio to air death threats against....

5. Ah, poor little neo-cons
Wars going bad, poll numbers down, and scared of a liddle bitty liberal radio station.

I love it.

6. Maybe we should Boycott GM:
"During a day of torture by radio, I heard ads for Hewlett-Packard, Greyhound and, especially, General Motors. I asked GM why it appeared in such shows.

Ryndee Carney, GM's manager of marketing communications, said the ads were wrongly picked up from an earlier deal with WLIB. She said the station was ordered to "cease and desist" yesterday, and added: "GM will not advertise on any Air America affiliates.""

7. I wanted to send feedback to Mr. Goodwin but could not find an
option on the page. Can you only write snail-mail to them?

I cannot believe he contacted advertisers. Has he ever done this for the poisonous critters on the right who have been doing horrible things for years? Just curious.

10. Hey! They're a hit, then!!
I loved this line: "If Franken & Co. hate the pill-popping Limbaugh so much, why imitate his tarpit tone? Sounds like Limbaugh has simply driven them nuts."

Um, do you think he knows his slip is showing? Who's driving who nuts?

Neocons. They can dish it out, but... Oh, you know.

13. My letter to GM
I just read the article in today's NY Daily News and in it, this passage was included "Ryndee Carney, GM's manager of marketing communications, said the ads were wrongly picked up from an earlier deal with WLIB. She said the station was ordered to "cease and desist" yesterday, and added: "GM will not advertise on any Air America affiliates."

I've never written an e-mail like this before, but after reading the story I felt compelled to write. Why won't GM advertise on AAR? Do only Republicans drive GM vehicles? I currently own a GM, but if this is the level of disdain your company holds for those who consider themselves progressive, then maybe when the time comes to purchase my next vehicle I will go elsewhere. I'm sure Ford or Saturn doesn't want to alienate approximately 50% of the population.(those who consider themselves Democrats)

Hopefully your company will reconsider it's position,

14. unfortunately for you
you failed to realize that GM owns Saturn. Kind of undermines your point, eh.

from wikipedia

"GM launched it's Saturn automobile manufacturing company in 1990..."

I've not listened to AAR, but if the crap quoted in this article is accurate, I'm clearly not missing anything.

The following is aimed at the majority of the responses on this thread:

It is the same as the torture scandal; as the US touts its humane and decent ideals, it needs to live up to those ideals; not, as the cons are trying to spin it, simply be a wee bit better than the worst of totalitarian regimes.

So too, do progressives who decry the raving of Ann Coulter, Rubbish Limbaugh, et al, need to speak out vigorously for progressive ideals, rather than simply trash-talking at similar levels of vitriol.
