Should it go to talk show host Michael Savage, the grandson of immigrants who now wants to close America's borders, lest "turd world" newcomers start "defecating" on our country? Or to the MSNBC honchos who had hired Savage, pretending to believe he wasn't the immigrant-baiting, gay-bashing, women-hating, racist nut they knew him to be?...
When the network signed on Savage in February, it's not as if his track record were a state secret. Savage is the fifth most popular radio talk show host in America. Press reports call him a conservative, but that's like calling Cuban dictator Fidel Castro a liberal. Savage rants on 300 radio stations nationwide, which is obviously why MSNBC wanted him. Well, that and the fact that Fox TV was eating it for breakfast....
That the Savage marketplace includes talk of "ghetto slime" (i.e., inner-city kids), grilled dogs (what he believes Koreans eat for dinner) and "immigrants breeding out of control" (presumably not his grandparents) did not bother Wright. Nor did Savage's references to all those media-hogging blacks in the military. "Ninety percent of front-line troops are white boys," Savage said, chastising TV reporters for interviewing black soldiers in Iraq. "So stop your big lie!"Grilled
dogs?! I'm assuming he doesn't mean Oscar Mayer. What a putz. Well, at least BSNBC has stopped
its big lie (well, the biggest one, anyway).
