Berlusconi 'most persecuted man'

Berlusconi has insisted he should not be 'distracted' from governing

Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi has described himself as the most persecuted person "in the entire history of the world".

Mr Berlusconi also said he was "the best prime minister we can find today".

In an impassioned statement, he then mistakenly told reporters he had spent millions of euros on "judges", before correcting himself to say "lawyers".

--snip--

What an arrogant little toad.

1. Back in August I was in Italy
And the lady who was our tour director did not care all that much for that little toad Berlusconi. Especially given all the fooling around he did. I wonder if ever he figured out why Michelle Obama kept him at arm's length during the G20?

3. Poor Berlusconi,...
'the most persecuted person "in the entire history of the world''

I don't know; I think there is a lot of evidence to the contrary in the files of Amnesty International. For that matter, look at some history of what happened to Italian Jews and political dissidents under fascism - and then consider Berlusconi's acceptance of seriously right-wing allies.

'he then mistakenly told reporters he had spent millions of euros on "judges", before correcting himself to say "lawyers".'

Probably he got it right the first time! (How many euros *does* a judge cost?)
