If The Cause Is Just, Why Censorship?
Maybe all the brouhaha over photos of flag-draped coffins returning from Iraq is summed up as a simple case of hypocrisy. One moment you can have an invasion of privacy, and the next you have merely a campaign symbol.
<snip>
How is anyone's privacy being invaded - considering no soldier's remains are identified specifically in the photos of coffins released by an arm of the Air Force through a Freedom of Information Act request?

After all, if privacy truly loomed as an overriding concern on the part of the Defense Department, wouldn't the heart-wrenching scenes of troops leaving their families to head to Iraq also be censored?

As well, the administration seems to have no problem with reporters covering the joyful reunions of families as troops return from combat. By the government's logic, are not these intimate moments of tearful embraces an invasion of personal privacy, too?
