The Difference Between a “Protest” And a “Riot” Is Skin Color


While there is some truth to these kinds of statements, it’s worth remembering that Barack Obama could not have been elected to the presidency without receiving the 44% of the white vote he did. There absolutely is an emergent post-racial America. As a 62-year old white Obama-voter, I find the whiteness and oldness of the Teabaggers/Birthers/Recess Rioters heart-breaking and humiliating, but people, my generation is going to die off and leave a better America behind. Remember that.

Turn off Glenn Beck, old white people, and stop being so goddamned afraid of somebody else’s future;

3. Yeah, I remember that after Katrina
...whether one was "looting" or "scavenging for supplies" depended mainly upon pigmentation.
