For the first time in eight years, the news magazine will publish a special edition of the magazine between their weekly issues.
For the issue, Time magazine spoke with people that were influenced and touched by the Pop Icon, including Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston, Tina Turner, Nancy Regan, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, John Mayer, and many others.
The last time the glossy issued a commemorative edition between issues was in in their look back on the events of September 11th. They have also published special issues commemorating other breaking news events like the election of President Obama, and the untimely deaths of Princess Diana and JFK Jr.
