Potato-firing bazooka lands German in trouble
Berlin - German police have arrested a man for firing potatoes at passers-by with a home-made bazooka, authorities in the western city of Essen said on Friday.

"It was like a bazooka that fired potatoes," a spokesman for police in Essen said. "Jolly dangerous from close range."

2. I've made and fired potato weapons.
Take a length of PVC pipe the width of a potato and the height of a man. Seal it to a closed end chamber with a pvc screw cap at the bottom. Drill two metal screws into the base and attach the two screws to a gas grill ignition switch. Tape the ignition switch to the gun.

Total cost -- under $10.

Force a potato down the barrel with a broom handle.

Unscrew the base and spray three or four seconds of hair spray. Aqua Net works fine. Any other flammable spray works fine.

Click the ignition.

BOOM!!!

You can launch a potato about 1/4 mile, though without great accuracy. You'll be amazed at the fun.

3. That's really sofisticated! The most I've ever done is light a fire
cracker covered with a can. We suped it up with a bowl of water, but I forgot exactly how it worked?
