Cindy McCain's half sister emerges to put down 'only child' claim
By Leonard Doyle in Washington
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/cindy-mccains-half-sister-emerges-to-put-down-only-child-claim-902910.html

Cindy McCain, the wife of the Republican presidential candidate John McCain, describes herself as an only child. "I grew up with my dad, I'm an only child. My father was a cowboy, and he really loved me very much, but I think he wanted a son occasionally," she told a TV interviewer.

Now a half-sister has emerged from the shadows to challenge that family history, claiming she and her offspring have been carefully airbrushed out of the would-be First Lady's family picture. "I'm upset," Kathleen Hensley Portalski said. "I'm angry. It makes me feel like a non-person."

(snip)
Kathleen saw her father and her half-sister from time to time, as she was growing up. "I saw him at Christmas and birthdays, and he provided money for school clothes, and he called occasionally," Ms Hensley Portalski said.

But when Mr Hensley died, it was to his second daughter Cindy – who by now was Mrs McCain and running the Hensley Corporation, a lucrative Arizona beer distributorship and strip mall developments – that he left his entire fortune. The will gave Kathleen just $10,000. Today, the Portalskis live in Phoenix in a modest house. They would have like to have inherited some of the Hensley fortune. Given that they are Democrats, they are unlikely to receive any handouts. Kathleen's son, Nicholas, says the reason the family has come forward was their anger at being erased from the family tree by Mrs McCain.

2. It's not just about a cookie recipe, this time around.
Only $10,000 to your half-sister? Regardless of your father's intentions, you should have righted this wrong by sharing some of his fortune with his other daughter. Shame on you. You need to be outed for the lying, greedy woman that you are.

So, let's review: We know that you'll lie to get drugs, you'll lie to make yourself look like an old-fashioned cookie-baking wife, and you'll lie to manufacture a father-daughter relationship that probably bears little--if any--resemblance to reality.

What else have you lied about, Cindy, and how's that injured hand doing?

5. Don't forget her charitable work!
She was very generous with her time with a non-profit organization she founded which send medical personnel around the world following natural disasters. Of course the non-profit in return was very generous with the prescription pads. And she of course became the non-profit's biggest disaster.

4. Shades of Nancy Reagan....
Edited on Wed Aug-20-08 02:43 AM by Baby Snooks
Nancy Reagan had a "hidden family" including her own father and everyone on her father's side of the family. She only acknowledged him when she had to and never acknowledged the rest of his family she grew up with and preferred to think of Loyal Davis as her father.

The McCains are beginning to remind people of the Reagans. Wonder if they have an astrologer or two hidden away?

7. This Is So Sad
I take back every charitable thought I had about Poor Cindy. She deserves the abuse she gets from her hubby.

8. And to think...
that I actually at one point felt sorry for both of them; John in 2000 and Cindy since it became clear that she is abused. Republicans really have stone-cold hearts and these two truly deserve each other.
