1. I am beginning to wonder. Wonder if Larry Johnson is whispering BS in her ear.

2. Not watching it now
Edited on Sat Jun-07-08 12:24 PM by rebel with a cause
I watched it for a while, then muted it and read subtitles, then just switched channels. I heard enough to form an opinion of what she was saying and she did say they had to work to get Obama elected. Whether or not that is an endorsement, I don't know. It's okay, but I got the feeling that she is still running for office. If not president then.......

Someone who watched it all the way through may have a much better opinion of it, or worse for that matter.

Update: MSNBC says that she talked turkey and tough, and they think it was powerful for Barack. They seem happy with it, so I guess it was a good speech. I am just not in a good mood today with anyone so my opinion is rather hard on everyone.

She Didn't what she HAD to do. Agree, she said we needed to elect Obama, but was that an endorsement?

I didn't notice much grace. Mostly it was mostly about Her.
and she's still stealing the spotlight from Obama

I could be wrong

4. that's what I heard also.
But I thought it might just be my mood. Like you, I left the option that I might be wrong but since there are two of us who heard the same thing, I think we are probably right. According to her speech - gender bias is so much bigger than racism, and her battle was so much greater than Baracks.

5. Wish I had posted here first I got blasted on another thread for being critical of her speech.. You
Edited on Sat Jun-07-08 02:05 PM by 1Hippiechick
heard the same thing I did on the first listen. On the first half-hearted listen yes,she was still politicking, and it was all about her and women's rights, AND her voice went flat on the few sentences she mentioned Obama, including the part about her supporters throwing their support behind Obama (which they booed.). BUT, when I listened to it the second time, towards the end of her speech, she DID ask her supporters to consider what our country had missed out on by not having a Democrat in the White House for the past forty years. In my opinion, that was the best part of her speech because she took herself out of the speech and put the emphasis back on the Democrats being back in the White House.

6. Hey HippieChick ... which site was that?
Although I've been critical of the way Hillary's conducted herself throughout, I actually thought she did a good job today -- although let's face it, it was also a matter of her own political survival.

But I'm curious as to where where you got beat up on your comment.

8. Agree but Still - is THAT an endorsment?
Edited on Sat Jun-07-08 02:20 PM by Phred42
Or was she just doing what she HAD to do.

This required an intervention to get it done - is she really on board this quickly

9. It was a "We need to vote against the republican" speech.
and a look at what I have accomplished speech. As long as it satisfied some people, then I guess it is okay. I'll try not to say any more about it after this.

10. I am sorry you got blasted but it happens to us all,
Edited on Sat Jun-07-08 04:01 PM by rebel with a cause
I got blasted on another thread this morning on another subject. :D Anyway, the thing about the part of you speech towards the end was okay, but (if its the part I am thinking of) then she went right back into the I/we accomplished so much for women's rights and the world is so biased against us, etc. Her speech was not all that bad, it was just I guess I realized just how "white" she was in her thinking. When racism lessens into a smaller issue than gender, then I will be a happy camper.

12. I listened a second time now also
and it did sound better at the end. I even had a little pity for her. No more bad mouthing her unless there is something more that happens to change my mind. ;)
