1. Positive messages with vision from Bush, smear and sneer via friends
Edited on Mon Feb-23-04 02:14 PM by papau
I wonder if the media will let him get away with this approach without the media making a daily comment

OK, a weekly comment -

OK, just a monthly comment

OK, a comment every 10th time they discuss his positive ads and give the GOP free media time, and every 5th time they dump on DEM ads

OK, will they ever comment on the hypocritical game Bush is playing.

2. Republicans tested their get-out-the-vote techniques in 2002,
Edited on Mon Feb-23-04 02:14 PM by Champion_Jack
" with notable success.

In Georgia, more than 3,000 volunteers and paid workers knocked on 150,000 doors in carefully targeted areas. After a preelection rally with Bush, nine busloads of volunteers fanned out in the heavily Republican Atlanta suburbs to prod voters to the polls. More than 2 million GOP households received telephone reminders about the election.

The work paid off when Republican Sonny Perdue was elected governor and Republican Saxby Chambliss defeated Democratic Sen. Max Cleland."

Yeah right, their "get-out-the-vote techniques" were BBV

3. Oh yes, get ready. (Please post an excerpt next time)
All those who are not ABB ought to check this article out, because, my friends, they laugh at you, and enjoy the squabbles here. Now we will see Darth Vader and Mordor in all their glory. The Power that they have is breathtaking. (P.S., poster: I think readers here pass on anything that is just a link, and this is too important. Thanks). Here's a quote from an orc from my state:

"We never had an organization in place like we have now. It's unbelievable," said Rep. Candice Miller (R., Mich.), who has been involved in the state's politics for 24 years. "The Democrats are getting all the attention. But we are getting ready."

4. "Bush will also ramp up his travel schedule"
... especially to swing states. Most trips will be heavily subsidized by taxpayers. A formula devised in 1982 allocates costs for election-year travel according to how much time a president spends on official "presidential" business, as opposed to partisan politics.

For example, if Bush spends 25 percent of his day at political events, his campaign picks up roughly 25 percent of the tab - excluding the cost of security and other expenses considered mandatory for a president.

As White House spokesman Scott McClellan said, "Just because it's an election year doesn't mean he stops being president."

Implication: somewhere along the line, he'll start. dw

7. Hopefully our victory won't have to rely on a couple of hobbits
having to go deep within the Red country to throw a ring into a volcano.

Sadly, Totalitraianism takes it's share of victories. Some might say the lion's share.

9. hell no. and neither do the multi-national corporations who support him

Halliburton care about America? No. They claimed "international" status in order to circumvent U.S. trade laws in order to sell oil equipment to Saddam after Gulf War I.
