Bin Laden 'surrounded'
I haven’t seen this in the U.S. press.

Bin Laden 'surrounded'

February 22, 2004

A BRITISH Sunday newspaper is claiming Osama bin Laden has been found and is surrounded by US special forces in an area of land bordering north-west Pakistan and Afghanistan.

The Sunday Express, known for its sometimes colourful scoops, claims the al-Qaeda leader has been "sighted" for the first time since 2001 and is being monitored by satellite.

1. How much land?
He's in there somewhere. They told Clinton the same thing. When he tried to bomb him...he somehow slipped away.

Even if they do catch him so what. They destroyed two countries and have more enemies than just one or two leaders.

We are bankrupt and can't even protect ourselves as we should. Bankrupt because of Bin Laden? NO...bankrupt because Bush, Cheney, crime family used him and 9/11 excuse to rob us.

2. BULLSHIT!!!!

Why would Osama HIDE in EXACTLY the places that US forces were empowered to look for him on the ground

There are PLENTY of friendly places in the Islamic world for Osama to hide out. Is is regarded as a hero in MOST of the Islamic world.

Nope, this story is Bullshit!!!!

BTW, moderators. Can we get a "bullshit" smiley. Basically a horned smiley ejecting crap out it's backside ;-)

3. Surrounded? You mean captured?
Some Iranian newsservice was reporting that bin Laden was captured in a firefight and is now on a US aircraft carrier in the Mediterranean. Take it for what it's worth, but it's out there.

4. Captured?

Even if Osama is already on ice...
No one feels safer. But the real question is safer from who.

I go through 2 searches a day and drive through several pop up truck barriers each day.

Every day I ask the guards "did we catch any terrorists yet?".
Every day they answer no.

We all know its BS and feel put upon.

We all know that no one ever saw a plane hit the Pentagon except for 2 people they interviewed on TV.

We now admonish Bush in casual conversation which is a big change since last year.

As all this crap goes downhill the increased militarization is making all other anxiety issues worse. Racial tension is growing worse. The driving experience is as bad as ever

Dealing with the additional layers of beaurocratic control by OMB, which is becoming a new arm of control and censorship, the atmosphere in Washington DC is increasingly one of overt fascist oversight.
