This Ashville man won't vote for Bush

Here's a comment we found on a Ashville web site about the community. It's more about political belief and agenda then religion, gays, etc. don't you think?

The influx of wealthier retirement folks are forcing up the real estate values and taxes in N.Carolina. A big difference between rich and poor.

This post tells about how frustrated Americans are over the direction of their lives. We are all fighting over the last piece of pie. The rest went to the top 1%.

Asheville is refred to as "little san francisco" due to the high concentration of gays and freaks.

Our police department is not interested in solving crimes. Not sure exactly what they are doing, but crime against the normal people that live hear. If you home is robbed, they will take a report and file it. No investigation or attempt to catch the crook or recover your property will be forthcoming.

However if you are near a peaceful demonstration against the war, george bush, you stand a good chance of being gang tackled by APD officers and carried off to jail.

City council are anti citizen, and anti business, and very pro local government. outragerous property taxes and rising so they can implement stupid laws like it is ILLEGAL to walk your dog on a leash that is over 8' in length. Housing restrictions that you can not buy a house that needs repair, so perhaps you could do it your self. This includes things as a cracked window pane or the outside has some peeling paint. The Mayor refuses to admit that property taxes increased by 25% percent, saying it was only 4%, while in fact the taxes on his house increased almost 30%.

And this is the buckle of the bible belt, with the most extreem and hate preached in the name of God from many pulpits in the area. Baptists here are almost as extreem as the suicide bombers in the middle east.

But on the few days a year that the ozone is not at dangerous levels, the view are great.
