Sealand Express hits a wharf

The American freighter that was grounded on a sandbank in Table Bay for nearly a month has been involved in another accident.

The Sealand Express caused damage of nearly $6m (about R40m) to a freighter wharf in Hampton, Virginia (USA), when it crashed into a crane on the dock on January 31.

1. You didnt hear about it for the same reason that you dont hear about...

every single derailment in this country or any other shipping accident short of an oil spill. "If it bleeds, it leads" goes all the way to the rear pages of most newspapers. If 35 men had been on the crane and had plummeted 100 feet into the bay, THEN you would have heard of it.
