This is it. Boycott Faux! Who is with me?!!!!

Im tired of reading the threads at this board and feeling like I am reading NewsMax or Freeperpublic...

Im sick of the Fox news threads, with the angry replies of people thinking that we are going to somehow change them.

They are a propaganda operation, they arent looking for critics...they know exactly what they are doing. It is a military type propaganda organization..

Every post we make gives them the satisfaction of knowing that they are getting under our skin.

Its time to collectively ignore them. Do not post anything about them, dont watch, dont respond...NOTHING.

When their name is brought up...the correct response is....who?*crickets*

Who is with me?

1. A better idea:
Get rid of your television. I did it years ago and I'm much better off for it.

4. I don't watch any TV these days.
I remember from the times I have watched FAUX that they insisted on using the term "homicide bomber". What a joke!

5. I dont own a TV already...

I watch my shows online, and download stuff thatr keeps me entertained.

Television is so bad, I cant believe anyone bothers...

Online, you can customize what you want to see, while television you are forced to watch their garbage.

I stopped watching coporate news a long time ago my friend.

9. I'm working my 'round to it.
Although I haven't gone cold turkey yet I cut off basic cable today and went to limited package that gets only local stations. In this way, I'm making a $35 statement about "programming."

11. Just make the leap!
Sell the TV! You will save time and money! I'm not just talking about the $35 bucks a month...I'm talking about how you simply won't spend as much money on other things.

It's amazeing how cheaply I live! I simply don't desire the material possesions that everyone else must-have. It's great. For some reason, TV makes you go out and buy stuff. (I know that sounds weird, but it's true.)

2. We'd have to boycott their sponsors, right?
That would require some of us to keep a running list of their sponsors. I think people already do this with limbaugh & hannity.

7. Very true...

I wish the only posts we saw in this board with the words Fox News in it were a list of their sponsors to boycott...

6. Don't click on any FAUX, DRUDGE or NEWSMAX posts
Boycott the posts if you want... that might curb DUers from posting links.

8. That is a great idea...I already dont...

I urge everyone here to not post anything from these fascist organizations.

They are out to destroy us and we are giving them the ammo...

10. I never paid any attention
Never subscribed.

Never watched.

Never went to their Web site.

And I only use their local affiliate to watch The Simpsons and sports.

So Fox News can't affect me.

13. I no longer watch CNN, MSNBC or FAUX
Edited on Sat Feb-14-04 10:43 PM by ixion
actually, I no longer watch TV news at all. I get much better reporting from the Guardian or the Toronto Star, or a number of other reliable news sites.

14. Democrats are fools unless
All democratic politicians refuse to appear on FOX

then we might have something....

This would serve notice to the other news agencies who might then show more respect
for Democrats and $ if nothing else.

15. Dean is set to appear on FOX Sunday show today.
I just saw this reported on C-SPAN.

I had the same feeling that you expressed in your post: All democratic politicians should refuse to appear on FOX!

Just my opinion.

18. That is one way to get the message across, but...
at the same time, keeping away from Fox will allow some of their hosts to go so off-the-wall that they will start reporting like Newsmax. Perhaps they approach that fountain of unbiased truth--HAHAHAH!!! HAHA!! Oh sorry I thought that was pretty funny... where was I? Oh yeah--in terms of coverage already, but Dean, etc. can do something to keep the Bill O'Rielys and Brit Humes honest, I would think.

I have my remote programmed to skip right over it. I'm not even going to give them a millisecond of time in my house.

17. Who are the sponsors?
FOX is blocked out. Who are they're sponsorers so I can protest them also. Especially that one that was so nasty to Mike Malloy.
