HERO VS ZERO: DUBYA'S WAR RECORD PROBLEM
GEORGE Bush has never exactly been in a position to boast about his glittering military career.

When others his age were losing their lives in Vietnam, Dubya stayed at home - learning how to pilot a plane with the Texas National Guard.

Now, more than 30 years later, the President may have reason to regret not doing his duty - it may not just be the Iraq war that loses him the next election. It could also be the war he never fought in.

That's because his most likely opponent in the race for the White House is now Democrat John Kerry.

Kerry has no fewer than three purple hearts from Vietnam - as well as the testimony of a comrade whose life he saved.

But if that weren't bad enough for Bush, things are getting worse. On top of the fact that Dubya managed to land a cushy posting, there are now claims that he didn't turn up at all.

1. There are "now" claims?
These perfectly supportable and widespread claims have been documented even before the 2000 theft! Where the hell have these journalists been?

8. I've read since before the Coup of 2000 about the Vietnam Vets offering
a reward to anyone who comes forward to say the 'saw' Junior at the required training. Any not even a crackpot has stepped forward to claim they say Junior.

Why not an investigation into the Whore Media?

2. WOW! That's the real title of the article
tiny excerpt:

JOHN F KERRY

RECORD: Naval officer in Vietnam. Wounded in action

MEDALS: 3 Purple Hearts, Silver Star, Bronze Star

GEORGE W BUSH

RECORD: Didn't go to Vietnam. Went Awol from Alabama National Guard?

MEDALS: None

3. Flying Dinosaurs
If George was such a wonderful pilot and hero why was he trained on a aircraft soon to be phased out? I think it was a F-108.

What was the reason for flying a dinosaur? He could of been more useful (if he could competently fly) flying medi-vac choppers in Nam.

4. Glad this is getting so much attention.
I notice though that the writer states, towards the end, that Americans do not like the sight of 500 body bags coming back from Iraq, or words to that effect. If only the public were able to see the body bags, surely they would wake up.

5. No Dover Test for us. I guess we can't protest what we can't see.
As usual, this administration changes the rules to fit their policy.

6. The issue a lot of people overlook is how GWB ...
got into the TANG when the waiting list was over three years long. He moved ahead of somebody who might have had to go to Vietnam in his place. Using family influence like this subverts the system from within, and IMO, is just as bad as later going AWOL.
He avoided war service by jumping ahead of others, not based on merit, but based on last name. Who went to Nam for Prince Georgie??

9. Who went to Nam for Prince Georgie? -- Can't we find the guy?
Dumbya had a low draft number. His local draft board had to choose one more person in that year to make up for Dumbya's escape.

The last drafted person (the one with the highest number) from his local board was the guy.

Can we find him?

Is his name on the Wall?
