convinced by the CIA that the Bay of Pigs was a good idea and it convinced Khrushchev that he was just a bobby soxer, hence the Cuban Missile crisis. Mano a mano, he wasn't then, what he is perceived to be now.

Just imagine how much weight and influence Hillary could have yielded if she took the position of many of her Democratic Senate colleagues, and the majority of House Democrats -- and just said "NO." It would have carried the weight of Bill Clinton as well, and might have galvanized a more robust opposition.
