1. Funny how these "institutions" are great at predicting the present. And did nothing to stop the
slide down the slippery slope when it a profitable to say nothing.

2. Sounds like a well-calculated risk. They've made so much so fast, and got away with it for so long,

they're not going to be hurt by a depression, however severe. A wonderfully extended windfall for them, to retire on.
