The Fix Was In. NH/GOP website posted "McCain Victory Party" before polls opened. (screenshot)
(Before I hear screams of protest, my screenshot is much later... only an 1-1/2 hours before polls closed, but I learned of it much earlier, and it can be assumed the site was like that long before the people that told me learned of it. Also note, no exit poll results were released before the polls closed to make such an early call.)

Via "Mugsy's Rap Sheet":

The Fix Was In? NH votes on hacked scanners. NH/GOP declared McCain winner before polls even opened. Surprise win for Hil.

Tuesday afternoon I received an alert from Black Box Voting, the election watchdog group founded by Bev Harris, reporting that the New Hampshire Republican Party already listed "8pm: McCain Victory Party" on it's website before the polls even opened Tuesday:

(visit site for screenshot)

(...)

On Monday, the same Black Box Voting revealed that "81% of NH voters will cast their ballots on Optical Scan voting machines from Diebold using an outdated and known hackable version of the ballot reading software", and that a single company, LHS, has full chain of custody over each and every one of these machines, including the AccuVote Memory Cards." BBV then performed a demonstration of a hacked vote using one of the same Optical Scanners, purchased by them from Diebold running the identical software:

(video)

The pre-vote test: 0 Yes, 0 No.
The actual vote: 2 Yes, 6 No.
Final result: 7 Yes, 1 No.

(...)

UPDATE2: From another Ron Paul supporters website, the vote totals in towns that "hand counted" ballots vs the vote totals in towns that used Diebold Optical Scanners is in: ronrox.com/paulstats.php.

The "Official" result is that Giuliani beat Ron Paul 8% to 7%. In towns where ballots were hand counted, Paul beat Rudy 9% to 8%.

The same site tracked Democratic votes as well. Over all, Hillary beat Obama 39% to 36%. In "hand count" towns, Obama beat Hilary 38% to 34.9%.

3. I've never understood this disdain for Harris.
Am I missing something?

I have no idea why so many people complain about Bev Harris and BBV. And the information coming out of BBV is credible and important.

Why on Earth do so many people seem to hate her and BBV? I'm glad there are people like this out there tracking voter fraud.

4. Let's Just Say There is a Lot of History to Catch Up On
Her banning on DU was the least of it.

Some of the information released by BBV may be accurate, but there are cases in which Bev Harris fabricated entire public incidents in order to raise funds.

She has also played both sides of the political spectrum and apparently joked with right-wingers at the expense of DUers. This tends tends to bother who donated to her cause.

Not to mention her treatment of the late Andy Stephenson, who is kind of a partron saint of DU.

There are a lot of others here who have followed this more closely than I have. You could write an encyclopedia on it.

6. Unfamiliar.
I do know of one time she "announced" an old story as if it were current in one letter, but that story... if the one in question... wasn't fabricated, just old. I can't image someone would "fabricate" an incident when "credibility" is so important when it comes to the issue of Election Fraud.

I'm also unfamiliar with "Andy Stephenson" and any comments made of him. What did I miss?

There seems to be a bit of "fluidity" in the information about BBV, to our great detriment when it comes to something so important.

Say what you will about them, there's no arguing with the GOP site they told me about that I took a screenshot of.

8. The Fabricated Incident I Mentioned
had to do with Bev's claim that her group interrupted a meeting of a local government group in Florida that had been accused of complicity in vote theft. Reportedly, the BBV people walked in with videocams rolling and charged that two set of vote records had been kept. There was a black plastic bag in the rear of the building which BBV attempted to seize and the local officials attempted to keep. The bag was torn open in the struggle and duplicate voting records spilled out.

At least that was the story -- read it myself at the time. Seemed too good to be true, and it was.

Keith Olberman reportedly had Bev lined up as a guest but after doing some background research got cold feet and disinvited her. With good reason.

As far as Andy Stephenson goes, I'll defer to other people who knew him personally. But he worked with BBV for awhile and did not part on good terms. I belive there was an issue with health coverage which made it very difficult for him to get medical care during his terminal illness.

You might even want to search under "Bev Harris,", if the posts are still archived. If I'm not mistaken, she posted under her own name.

7. She took in a LOT of money in 2004. She never accounted for any of it.
And she didn't follow through in Voluisa County, FL or in Ohio. I don't remember all of the details, but people sent her a lot of money and nothing ever really happened. I believe she was a DU'er and had some kind of fight with the administrators and got tombstoned.

2. Every poll was off.
I can understand, in a close election, that some aren't going to call it right, but when you have 100% agreement... Short of a paper receipt and an exit count of those receipts, I'll remain a skeptic.

10. Doesn't every campaign plan a "victory party?"
Overconfidence doesn't strike me as a smoking gun...

That said, it is important to keep up the pressure for verifiable election results

11. Looks to me
like someone was preparing and testing web pages in advance of events. Then you publish the pages apropos to the outcome. I do this all the time ... but I test on my test boxes and leave my "production" boxes alone until its time to rock. Maybe they don't have test platforms????

Not saying for sure this was the case but it is a plausible explanation. Of course, that don't make it true ... ;)
