Romney on Flip-Flops: this really is too much!
Romney Defends Mormon Religion, Criticizes Latest Huckabee Remarks
foxnews.com, December 16, 2007

In the hour-long interview, Romney handled more than a dozen questions on his so-called "flip-flops" on abortion, stem cells, gun control and immigration.

(snip)

Romney said he supports background checks to make sure "crazies" can't buy guns and backed the original assault weapons ban, but he became a member of the National Rifle Association because he supports Second Amendment rights. He added that he doesn't line up 100 percent with the NRA but opponents who are trying to suggest he's changed his position are scratching at straws.

Romney responded that he admits he's had a change of heart on several issues, but doesn't consider that a weakness. Instead, he said his reversals show a maturity of thought that voters should want in a president.

"If you’re looking for someone who’s never changed any position on any policy, then I’m not your guy,” Romney said. “I do learn from experience. If you want someone who doesn’t learn from experience, who stubbornly takes a position on a particular act and says, ‘Well, I’m never changing my view based on what I’ve learned,’ that doesn’t make sense to me," he said.

Oh, come on. And what did Romney and his supporters say about John Kerry's alleged flip-flops in 2004? I assume they said that Kerry's reversals "showed a maturity of thought that voters should want in a president." Right?

1. Kerry was a tool who didn't stick up for himself
and I agreed with him at the time that we, as Dems, should take the high road. But our opponents don't see it that way. It is a special kind of blindness that sees the same as desirable in one candidate and odious, vile, and despicable in another.

It hasn't been about ideas in a long time. It's all been about that parenthetical letter.

I assumed the high road would prevail against an evil cabal. I was wrong and I learned form my mistaken assumptions. Oh, look! I learned something!

I guess that makes me a flip-flopper, too. DAMN MY EYES!!!

:sarcasm:

(really, I don't know why I've been so snarky recently...)

6. Like Mitt Romney doesn't raise taxes he inject fees instead.
I went nuts watch him this morning on MTP.

Tim Russert didn't interview Mitt. Mitt gave a discourse to Tim without ever answering a question.
