1. So he's basically telling the Kurds that they can forget about an
independent Kurdistan. This will make the Turks happy and enrage the Kurds--they've carried a lot of water for us over the last 13 years. Look for increased anti-US violence in northern Iraq.

Why does the Administation let that nutbag talk without a minder to slap him when he's about to inflame a situation?

2. PKK from northern Iraq = 5000 folks that need amnesty from Turkey if
there is to be an end.

I wonder if the Bush folks have told the Turks the obvious re Iraq borders - but without telling them the obvious path they should follow to minimize blood flowing

:-)

4. Riiiiiight.
The check is in the mail.

We can't even secure Baghdad, but we are going to clear
the PKK out of the mountains of Northern Iraq.

What a circle jerk.

5. They can't even remove the insurgents from Baghdad
And the so-called Sunni triangle is more or less under the control of various insurgent groups and bandit lords - with the occasional US convoy tolerated, or not, at the whim of the the local power groups. And they're gonna remove the PKK from northern Iraq? Puh-leeeez.

Here's what Wolfowitz doesn't seem to know, but plenty of folks who don't run through ideology before they make any judgment know perfectly well: The United States is losing the Iraq War. Not in terms of "propaganda" or media effectiveness, or even endurance. But for real, on the ground, where it matters. And damn fast. What was supposed to be a show of strength is turning into a conceptual blueprint for enemies. Catastrophe.

He should be hanged for that alone.

The Kurds captured Saddam and didn't get the $25 Million reward. It is strongly suspected that they were promised some in lue of that.

My enemies are the Neo Fascists with Dubya the Dumbass as their puppet.

8. Amen to that. Remove the PKK? What with, wolfie?
It is not well known that the Kurds sent a delegation to
Versailles in 1919 to advocate independence. This is the
80-year time frame bin Laden referred to.

9. In your wet dreams, Wolfie. . .
you're dealing with people who do NOT take kindly to "Indian-givers" such as yourself.

Don't tell us you and your boys reneged on the $25 million reward for capturing Saddam.

10. Does this explain why US-backed Kurdish party HQs were just bombed?
Just a question--I don't really understand this latest bombing, other than as an attempt to trigger more fighting among Iraqi ethnicities--civil war--and making the place chaotic and ungovernable. But if you've got Wolfie saying shit like this, any Kurds who are enjoying US support start to look like collaborators to the separatists, don't they....?
