The article "Not So Gay Times" is short and to the point. There is no reason the highest paid for elected official of our nation should be calling upon "his" Lord and fighting against basic civil and human rights. The nation is in tough times, and rather than invalidating the love of an estimated 1/10th of the population, Bush should be planning his next round of "economic stimulus" or watching the Superbowl...whatever he does while daddy's friends run the country.
Comparing the animosity towards non-heterosexual marriages to the animosity and legal sanctions once imposed upon interracial marriages is dead on. One can only hope that Bush doesn't get re-elected and the Democratic/Independant parties can work together to re-educate America about tolerance and equality...maybe we can make our children proud of us for righting at least some of the many grave injustices the Bushies have wrought upon us.
