Let's call them the REPUBLIC PARTY.
Right wing sarcasm is getting old real fast. The latest catch phrase they use in public forums is: The Democrat party, and believe me, it's not a grammatical boo-boo, it is intentional! They been used this phrase in the 50's and early 60's. Now it has made a comeback. You hear it on right wing radio, T.V and in the so-called Republican Presidential debates or should say, the Republic debates. I know this is a trivial issue but their juvenile antics Gert's on my nerves. It is not a good reflection on baby boomer conservatives. I hope this catches on! Remember, THE REPUBLIC PARTY.
ROACH OUT!

THIS VID IS GETTING POPULAR, SEE WHY...

4. Hardly their newest trick...my experience of it goes well back into the last century
and I wouldn't be surprised if it went back way before I was around to have experiences.

Fretting about it is exactly what the name callers want. Ignore it and it loses its power to divert energy and attention from the destruction of our constitutional system.

5. Let's not and say we did...
Sorry, but I respectfully disagree. I for one am so tired of this "I know you are, but what am I?", grade-school playground banter back and forth.
I would be so happy if I never heard this goofy name calling. I prefer more adult discourse.

But I'm sure I'm in the minority around here, so whatever. Just my 2 cents.

8. Me too. I say ignore them. If the comedians want to pick up on it, fine. But serious
political debaters should just use the correct terminology and let the wing nuts get hoisted on their own petards. Just like all of the RW shouters name calling with "Hitlery" , "Dingy Harry", etc. They only show their ignorance. We shouldn't wallow in their shit.

6. I vote for Publican
From the Columbia Encyclopedia:

publican , in ancient Rome, man who was employed by the state government under contract. As early as c.200 B.C. there was a class of men in Rome accustomed to undertaking contracts involving public works and tax collecting; the tax collectors made the most profit. The publicans were usually equites, or capitalists. In the Gospels—which showed the general detestation, particularly in Asia Minor, Syria, and Palestine, in which the publicans were held—the publicans mentioned were tax collectors. From the 1st cent. A.D. the abuses of the publicans began to be corrected, and by the end of the 2d cent. the publicans as a group had disappeared.

From Wikipedia:

publican

In antiquity, publicans (Latin publicanus) were public contractors, in which role they often supplied the Roman military, managed the collection of port duties, and oversaw public building projects. In addition, they served as tax collectors for the Republic (and later the Empire), bidding on contracts (from the Senate in Rome) for the collection of various types of taxes. Importantly, this role as tax collectors was not emphasized until late into the history of the Republic (c. 1st century BC). By New Testament times, publicans were seen chiefly as tax collectors by provincial peoples. However, their role as public contractors, especially as regards building projects, was still significant. Nevertheless, with the rise of a much larger Imperial bureaucracy, this task of the publicans, as well as their overall importance, declined precipitously. Evidence for the existence of publicans extends as far back as the 3rd century BC, although it is generally assumed that they existed at still earlier times in Roman history. Knowledge of a tentative terminus post quem is taken from the histories of the 1st century AD Imperial historian Livy.

Seems to fit pretty well to me.

10. I Call Them Repiglickins
"Republic" is the form of government that we supposedly have under our Constitution.
The Repiglickins are doing everything they can to undermine the Constitution.
