Why those who love America are feeling brokenhearted
Wonderful piece by Andrew Greeley: http://www.suntimes.com/news/greeley/616721,CST-EDT-greel24.article

The best quotes:
"And the rest of the world laughs at us because both parties are led by fools."

"Anyone who cares about the United States and its legacies has to be brokenhearted at what has been done to our beloved country by the crazy people who are running it -- people who have become so skilled at deception they don't even realize anymore that they are deceiving. Just like the Democrats don't realize they are again stealing defeat out of the jaws of victory."

1. We need to stop worrying about what the world thinks and care about what we think

This is our country. It's the only heritage I have. We need to make it work for us.

4. They're suffering because of the regime that conquered us, not because of us
We barely have any control over our own lives, let alone others'.

2. It's Ok to feel down
But let's not give up the battle. I still fly the American flag in my front yard because I believe that our people and our ideals will eventually put this country back on the right path.

Sure we got a minor side-trip through hell ahead of us. But I think we'll get there.
