The former Governor Moonbeam, now mayor of Oakland, said the stars had aligned to create the "kaleidoscope" of the chaotic rerun, described by a Davis aide as akin to unlocking "all the cages in the zoo." Any celebrity or citizen (except the governor himself) who has 65 signatures of voters and $3,500 can run.

"Instead of spending $50 million to be governor," Mayor Brown says, "a wealthy person can throw in $2 million for a recall and only need 20 percent of the vote to win."

1. The more I learn about this, the more I shake my head

at the insanity of it all. Maybe the CA courts will block the terrible injustice about to fall on CA.

2. It seems to be another Repug Run Fiasco....designed to trash Dems!

And, it really is mindboggling.....that it goes on and on and on.........:-( Grey Davis should have learned something by now......but it seems he hasn't. Or, he should have gotten an "Image Maker" to deal with his problems. There must be plenty of them for hire in CA.......:shrug:

3. There seems to be much more dislike for him in Northern CA...

I don't really understand it...a lot of it is spin.
