So Fla Sun Sentinel: A Divider (Cindy Sheehan)
They couldn't even spell her name correctly!

A Divider

It's past time for Sheehan to leave

The anti-war folks got some good news this week: Cyndi Sheehan said she is done being the public face of the movement.

Sheehan, whose son was killed in Iraq in 2004, galvanized the anti-war movement when she camped outside President Bush's Texas ranch in 2005, demanding an audience. For a while, she became a very human face for those who opposed the war. But eventually, she became so shrill and strident that she lost effectiveness, and she helped turn the level of debate on both sides nasty rather than thoughtful and productive.

There is now plenty of debate about the war without Sheehan's presence, and as the death toll rises, polls show a majority of Americans are losing faith with the way the conflict is going and how it is being fought.

Cyndi Sheehan now leaves the Iraq war debate a figure as divisive as the war itself.
