75% of IT professionals with current employer for less than 2 yrs (India)
Bangalore, April 05: More than 75 per cent of the IT professionals have been with their current employer for less than two years, indicating that they are looking for a fast track career growth, a survey said.

Nearly 63 per cent of the IT professionals have less than five years of work experience in IT or IT related field and more than 70 per cent have been promoted in the last one year, the online survey said.

Nearly a fourth of the job seeking IT professionals are "an extremely happy and a committed lot".

The survey of 1,886 respondents from among 350,000 members enrolled on Cybermedia Dice, a dedicated technology job site, was carried out by the Indian arm of custom research agency, TNS.

It professionals promoted in the last six months in their company have the highest satisfaction level while those waiting for their promotion for over two years are the least committed to their jobs, it said.

The survey, released at a press meet here, also found that professionals at junior to middle level with a gross salary of Rs five lakh are more committed than those at the middle or senior level with a salary of Rs 12 lakh.

People are jumping job to job for more $$$ Projects will be delayed do to the movement of these ppl. Oh Well..

2. And yet there is NO evidence to indicate Average Wages (after inflation)
in India have gone up at all. The number one job for women in the non-agricultural sector is - sweeping.
