3. Help! I click on your link, and then I click on your Monty Python
Edited on Sat Mar-10-07 09:32 AM by Divernan
article title and it just keeps giving me the same page with the great photo and your name, but no body of the article.

(When they say, "Bring out your computer illiterate", that would be me.)

On edit: DUH! Perhaps the whole "article" is just the pictures? Well they're great. I would love to see the Pythons get together to cover the Bush gang. One of them could go in drag to do Ms. Rice. - thigh high, stiletto heel boots and all!

6. What was I thinking to expect the Spanish Inquisition?!? (here's the whole sketch).

NOBODY expects the Spanish Inquisition! Here's the link to the whole sketch.
And now you've done it, Don! I'm going to watch MP & the Holy Grail right now.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In the early years of the 16th century, to combat the rising tide of religious unorthodoxy, the Pope gave Cardinal Ximinez of Spain leave to move without let or hindrance throughout the land, in a reign of violence, terror and torture that makes a smashing film. This was the Spanish Inquisition...

(this transcript is also available with screen shots from the original)
Chapman: Trouble at mill.
Cleveland: Oh no - what kind of trouble?
Chapman: One on't cross beams gone owt askew on treadle.
Cleveland: Pardon?
Chapman: One on't cross beams gone owt askew on treadle.
Cleveland: I don't understand what you're saying.
Chapman: One of the cross beams has gone out askew on the treadle.
Cleveland: Well what on earth does that mean?
Chapman: *I* don't know - Mr Wentworth just told me to come in here and say that there was trouble at the mill, that's all - I didn't expect a kind of Spanish Inquisition.

enters, flanked by two junior cardinals. Cardinal Biggles has goggles pushed over his forehead. Cardinal Fang is just Cardinal Fang]

Ximinez: NOBODY expects the Spanish Inquisition! Our chief weapon is surprise...surprise and fear...fear and surprise.... Our two weapons are fear and surprise...and ruthless efficiency.... Our *three* weapons are fear, surprise, and ruthless efficiency...and an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope.... Our *four*...no... *Amongst* our weapons.... Amongst our weaponry...are such elements as fear, surprise.... I'll come in again.

7. I was just thinking the other day that, to "do" this Junta, you need Monty Python's Flying Cir-
kus.

They saved the late '70s, as we descended into the 9th Circle of Hell, the assassination of Beatles and of 200,000 Mayan villagers in Guatemala and the first tax rewrite for the rich, and the slaughter in Nicaragua, and the slaughter in El Salvador, and "let Reagan be Reagan."

I think Dead Parrot actually saved my sanity.
